What GulfWise is
GulfWise is a free platform that helps expat workers in Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia understand what they're owed at the end of a job. Our calculators cover end-of-service benefits (EOSB), gratuity, notice periods, and resignation timing — built so anyone can check their numbers in a few minutes, without needing to read through the underlying labour law themselves.
How our calculators are sourced
Every formula on GulfWise is traced back to primary source law, not secondhand summaries:
- Kuwait: Kuwait Labour Law No. 6 of 2010
- UAE: Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021
- Saudi Arabia: Saudi Labour Law (Royal Decree No. M/51), via the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD)
Where a rule genuinely isn't settled in practice — such as which parts of a salary count toward the calculation base — we say so directly on the calculator rather than picking a side silently.
